Pittsburgh Race Report:

 Joe and I left Evansville at 8p.m. Thursday evening.  We drove all night and arrived at the track at 6a.m.  Friday, we got 2 time runs.  The Wag'n went 9.95 at 134 MPH.  Our buddy Mike DeChicco "Mr.Aruba" showed up with his /65 Dodge.  Mike installed a 540" Wedge done by Precision Machine.  In the spring, the new motor dyno'ed over 800 H.P., but has run poorly at the track.  We took the Carbs from the Drag'n Wag'n and put them on his Dodge; his his time improved by .2 of a second.  On Sunday, we put a second set of Carbs on his Dodge which yielded a 9.94 at 135 MPH in the thin Pittsburgh air... Mike is now a Happy Racer!  Back to the race; on Saturday, we got 2 more time runs and entered a Max Wedge / Hemi Combo Saturday Evening.  I had a New set of Diamondback Carbs.  I was getting tuned in with the help of Damon over the phone.  My Speed picked up over 1 MPH, but the car was lazy in the 60' with a little more tuning, these carbs are going to be Fast.  After 2 rounds Saturday Evening, the rains came and we split the money.  Sunday, we got one time run and I went 9.99.  I put my old carbs on for  first round, the Wag'n picked up the front end and I had a Red Light.  "OO" Joe went 10.53 on his 10.50 Index and was also out in Round One, Ouch!  We quickly loaded up and after a 10 Hour pull back home, I was in bed at 11 p.m.  I talked to Jeff Day at about 5p.m., he had just beat Jeff Millward in the Final Round, CONGRATS to Both Jeff's, GOOD JOB!  Even though Joe and I got beat in the 1st Round, we had a Great Time.  We had 36 Max Wedge Cars and 46 Entered the Max Wedge / Hemi Combo Saturday night.  I'm not racing for 3 weeks, so its time for some maintenance on the Drag'n Wag'n.  We are looking forward to our Santa Clothes Club CRUISE-IN at the Dealership on July 5th 6-10 p.m.  We should have 300+ Show Cars and a few thousand people.  We have a goal to raise $5,000 for The Santa Clothes Club here in Evansville.  Also, don't forget about the Chrysler Classic in Martin Michigan July 19th & 20th.  Max Wedge on Saturday and N/SS on Sunday with all makes welcome (Chevy, Ford, etc...)  $1,500 to WIN on Both Days (N/SS NA Rules Apply).
